Web Content & Copywriting

Writing for the web is different from writing for print.

Copy needs to be concise and scannable.

Readers have limited patience. They want their information delivered quickly. In short sentences.

One principle that does carry over from print, is the 'inverted pyramid'. In print journalism the most important content should be placed at the beginning of an article.

This way readers can digest the main point of a piece in a flash. They can also decide whether they want to read the additional information offered.

Write short and meaningful headings
